Durst Group expands management of Durst Austria GmbH in Lienz

Brixen, Italy - 20.09.2022 - Durst, leading manufacturer of digital printing and production technologies, appoints Wolfgang Knotz as Technical Managing Director of Durst Austria GmbH in Lienz, Austria. In the now-created position, Wolfgang Knotz joins Andreas Unterhofer, who will continue as the Commercial Managing Director and take on new responsibilities in HR development for Durst Group.

"For me, the appointment of Wolfgang Knotz as Technical Managing Director is the logical consequence for this objective, as he has contributed a great deal to the development of the company's location in Lienz with his expertise. Andreas Unterhofer will continue in his role as Commercial Managing Director and will take on additional tasks in the area of HR strategy and development in the management team of Durst Group. Wolfgang Knotz holds a degree in industrial and mechanical engineering with a focus on production engineering. After joining Durst Austria GmbH in 2013, he took over as the head of assembly and shortly after that as head of the general production. Since 2016, he has been responsible for optimizing the digital printing systems as head of the development department in Lienz. In April 2021, Wolfgang Knotz was appointed Chief Technology Officer of Durst Group together with Georg Großrubatscher in Brixen and became a member of the Durst Management Team.
